If you watch a lot of American TV shows, you've probably heard a character say "I'm done." But here's the thing — it doesn't always mean "I finished my homework." In real conversation, and especially in movies and dramas, this two-word phrase carries a lot of emotional weight depending on how it's delivered.
Think about a scene where someone storms out of a room after a big argument. They turn around at the door and say, "You know what? I'm done." That's not about finishing dinner. That's someone done with a relationship, a job, or a whole situation. It's a declaration. It hits hard.
