What makes this interesting for English learners is that these words are almost never literal. "Slay" doesn't mean to kill anything. "Ate" isn't about food. "Giving" isn't about gifts. They work more like emotional punctuation — quick, punchy signals that say "this is incredible" without needing a full sentence.
In Japan, online praise tends to be a little more understated — think 「神」 or 「尊い」. But in US celeb culture, the energy is loud and layered.
