The word carries this subtle, almost confessional vibe — like you're letting someone in on a secret feeling. Japanese has its own flavor of that energy, kind of like 「実はさ…」, but lowkey is way more versatile and slips into casual speech without missing a beat.

そして vibe。いつの間にか名詞から動詞になってて、誰も気にしてない。「We're just vibing」は、特に目的もなく、ただゆるーく一緒にいるってこと。気づいたら会社のメールにも入り込んでたりして――笑えるか笑えないかは、職場文化への見方次第だけど。
